Signs your dryer vent or exhaust fan is blocked
Clothes take two cycles to dry
Lint packed in the vent traps the hot, damp air the dryer is trying to push out.
The dryer or laundry runs hot
A clogged vent traps heat — and lint is highly flammable.
The bathroom stays steamy
A clogged grille, a tired motor or a blocked duct means the fan cannot clear the air.
A grille furred with dust or lint
What you can see on the grille is the small part — the rest is in the fan and duct.
The lint screen only catches part of it — the rest builds up in the vent.
Real jobs. Real lint.
We photograph every job before and after — you see exactly what came out, and the photos are yours to keep.

Ducts clog slowly, out of sight — here’s the proof
Dryer vents and exhaust ducts fill up the same way every duct does: a little every day, where nobody looks. Real FreshDuct jobs, filmed by our crews.

What we clean — the whole run, not just the trap
A fan venting into the roof cavity pushes warm, wet air into the roof space, where it condenses. We check where yours actually goes.
- Dryer vent traced from the dryer to where it exits
- Packed lint cleared from the whole vent run
- Crushed, kinked or disconnected ducting re-secured or replaced (quoted first)
- Airflow checked — the dryer vents freely and runs cooler
- Bathroom, laundry and kitchen exhaust fans inspected and airflow-tested
- Grille, blades, motor housing and cover cleaned
- Duct traced to the roof or eave — we flag any fan venting into the roof cavity
- Before & after photos and honest advice

Questions people ask before booking
How much does dryer vent or exhaust fan cleaning cost?
It depends on the number of fans and the length of the vent run. We give you a free, firm quote upfront — no call-out fee and no hidden costs. Call 04 3191 8137 or use the form.
How often should a dryer vent be cleaned?
About once a year for most homes — more often with heavy use, a large household or a long vent run.
Is the lint screen enough?
No. Clean it after every load, but it only catches part of the lint. The finer lint passes into the vent duct and builds up over time — that is what we clear.
Can a dryer really start a house fire?
Yes. Clothes dryers are a recognised cause of house fires and lint is the most common factor — it is highly flammable and a clogged vent traps heat. Avoid running a dryer unattended.
How often should an exhaust fan be cleaned?
Every one to two years for bathroom and laundry fans, and more often for a kitchen fan that pulls cooking grease.
Why is my exhaust fan not clearing the steam?
Usually a clogged grille and blades, a worn motor, or ducting that is blocked, disconnected or venting into the roof cavity. We find which, and quote any repair before we start.
Do you cover my suburb?
We service Sydney and surrounding suburbs 7 days a week — tell us your suburb in the form and we will confirm.
Is there a call-out fee?
No. There is no call-out fee — you get a free, firm quote upfront.
When do I pay?
After the job is done and you have seen the before & after photos. Cash, card or bank transfer.
