Foreshore Towers and Established Streets

South Perth occupies the peninsula directly opposite the city, and it is really two suburbs sharing a name. Along the foreshore and around Mends Street there is a dense band of apartment towers with river and skyline views, some decades old and some recent. Behind them lie established residential streets of interwar and post-war homes on proper blocks, shaded by mature trees, much quieter and much lower.

The apartments generate most of the air-system work, and the river is part of why.
