Air duct cleaning in Frankston

By the bay, in the ducts

Frankston sits on the bay at the gateway to the Mornington Peninsula. Its streets range from 1950s and 60s weatherboard and brick homes near the foreshore to bigger homes in leafy Frankston South and newer estates out towards Langwarrin and Carrum Downs.

Living near the water means moist, salty air and fine sand, both of which find their way into outlets and onto return-air filters. Older homes add decades-old ducted heaters to the mix, and in many of them the ducts have never been cleaned.

Further from the beach, the newer estates have a different story: ducted heating and cooling in the roof space, family homes with pets, and building dust from the homes still going up nearby.

Local homes

How Frankston homes are usually ducted

50s to 70s weatherboard & brick

Ducted gas heating with floor or ceiling outlets, often an older system that is due for its first clean.

Frankston South family homes

Larger homes on bigger blocks, with long runs and sometimes two systems.

Newer estate homes

Ceiling outlets and flexible roof-space ducting, with refrigerated or evaporative cooling for summer.

What we find

Three things we see a lot in Frankston

1

Salt air and sand

Homes near the foreshore pull in moist, salty air and fine sand, which settles in outlets and on filters.

2

Older heaters, older ducts

Many homes still run a heater and ducting from decades ago, and a first clean usually brings out a lot.

3

Musty smells after damp winters

Damp air and dust together can leave ducts smelling stale when the system first runs.

Quick self-check

Signs a Frankston home is due for a duct clean

  • Sand or grit in the outlets Fine grit around a grille is coming from inside the duct.
  • A musty smell when the heating starts Damp dust held in the ducts smells stale on the first run of the season.
  • A heater older than most of the street If the system has run for decades without a clean, it’s due.
  • Dust after a hot, windy day If the house is dustier after the cooling has run, the ducts are carrying it.

Repairs

Duct repair & replacement in Frankston

Damp, salty air is hard on older ducting and fittings, and decades of trades in the roof or under the floor leave runs crushed or disconnected. A cold room is the usual clue.

We photograph any damage we find, explain it and quote the fix before any work. If a run only needs reconnecting, we won’t quote you for new ducting.

Duct repair & replacement across Melbourne

Duct cleaning vs duct replacement: which do you need?

What we check and fix

  • Crushed, torn or disconnected ducts found and photographed
  • Repairs quoted before any work
  • Whole runs replaced only when they’re past saving
  • Outlet boots, grilles and return-air fittings refitted or replaced
Heating

Ducted heating cleaning before a Frankston winter

Winters down the bay are cold and damp, and ducted gas heating runs most evenings. The first cold night pushes the dust that settled over summer out through every outlet.

A clean before winter clears the outlets, ducts and filter so the heater works freely. We can book a heater service at the same visit.

Frequently Asked Questions

Cannot find your answer? We pick up 7 days a week — straight answers, no pressure. 04 3191 8137
We live near the beach. Does salt air affect the ducts?

It adds to the build-up. Moist, salty air and fine sand settle in outlets and on filters. We clean it out and point out anything that looks damp or corroded.

There’s a musty smell when the heater starts. Can cleaning help?

Often. Damp dust held in the ducts causes stale smells. Cleaning removes the build-up; if there’s a moisture problem behind it, we’ll show you.

Do you cover Langwarrin and Carrum Downs?

Yes. Langwarrin, Carrum Downs, Seaford and the rest of the Frankston area are all on our regular run.

Can you clean both our heating and cooling ducts?

Yes. We clean ducted gas heating, refrigerated and evaporative systems, and quote each one upfront.

Do you clean commercial premises?

Yes — offices, clinics, shops and strata common areas. Tell us about the site in the form and we’ll arrange an inspection and quote.

How is the price worked out?

By the number of outlets, how many systems you have and whether the home is one or two storeys. You get a free, firm quote upfront, there’s no call-out fee, and you pay after the job.

When do I pay?

After the job is done and you’ve seen the before & after photos. Cash, card or bank transfer.

What if I’m not happy?

Tell us. If something isn’t right, we come back and re-clean — that’s our 100% satisfaction commitment.

Are your technicians insured and police-checked?

Yes. Police-checked technicians, NDIS Worker Screening checks, and full public liability and business insurance.
