A wood heater added to a post-war Reservoir home was usually a tidy job at the time: a hole through the tiles or tin, a steel flue up through it, and a flashing to seal the gap. The flashing or the flue section at the roofline is corroding, and rust streaks usually mean water is already getting past it. We inspect from the roof, photograph the collar and the flue where it passes through, and quote to replace the flashing or the corroded section, whichever it is.
